Pencil drawing Pen drawing Charcoal drawing Warm up The most helpful warm up for me was our ASL hand warm up because it's something that required you to think of drawing shapes rather than just drawing what you think a hand looks like. It was a different way of viewing art rather than just draw this image you can instead draw it in parts by singling out shapes.
Composition is placement or arrangement of visual elements in a work or art; elements of art according to the principles of art. Value is one of the seven elements of art and it is the lightness and darkness of a color. The a pro with using pen is that the pen provides you with a smoother and cleaner line and also darker but the con is that you can't erase it also shading methods with pens can be some what difficult. Pencil on the other hand is erasable if you mess up and shading is easier, but a con of it would be that you wouldn't get as much of a sharper line. With charcoal you can make as many mistakes as possible and still be able to just rub in the charcoal and the mistake you made would go completely unnoticed a con is that it can be messy and shading if not well at it can be difficult since you have to use an eraser to create that illusion.

These pieces were created by Camila Carlow born in Guatemala, currently living in Bristol, England. She works with many mediums such as painting and photography and also being a cinematographer. Some pieces are exhibited in Bristol's Grant Bradley Gallery. You can find her animations being screened in London at Glastonbury Festival and the Roxy Bar. I personally enjoy her work because of how beautifully she combines nature and humans. We all get so caught up in technology and our lives that we forget about the beauty of nature and how we ourselves are a part of it. Although much of her work right now is centered on photography and cinematography, she stated in her recent blog to hopefully be able to illustrate more so we can hope to see more variety in her splendid work!
